What are FPC and FFC?

■FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit)
FPC is a flexible circuit board made of a highly bendable and thin insulating material, such as polyimide, that serves as a support.
It is constructed by forming an adhesive layer on an insulator film and overlaying the adhesive layer with a conductive foil.
■FFC (Flexible Flat Cable)
FFC is a flat cable constructed by sandwiching a row of conductors between an upper insulator film and a lower insulator film.
Some FFCs have their contacts formed by tin plating. Generally, FFC is less expensive than FPC.
