In the paid version of PANATERM for A4 Family (discontinued product) and E series, when selecting series and connecting to the driver, the error message "Communication port or driver cannot be detected" appears.

ANSWER
■ Cause
This is an error message when communication between the driver and the PC is not possible after selecting the series in PANATERM.
➀ Physical interruption of communication line.
➁ PANATERM's Package Revision is not 1.01, so you can only connect to COM ports 1-9.
■ Treatment
➀ Check that the Servo Driver is turned on and the PC communication cable is connected properly.
➁ Check the connection between PANATERM's Package Revision and the COM port.
The automatic connection of the COM port is made by PANATERM, but if the Package Revision of PANATERM is not the latest version (1.01), the COM port must be a single digit to be used. To check, select Help (H) at the top of the PANATERM screen to display version information. If Package Revision 1.01 is not displayed, it is an old software. In this case, try using COM ports 1-9.
