I installed NPST-GR from drive C: and then tried to read the user program floppy inserted in drive C:, but I couldn’t. Why?
- ANSWER
- The reason is because the user program floppy is in 1.44MB format.
Since the installation disk is a 1.2MB floppy, PC98 can read it.
However, old types of PC98 cannot read 1.44MB floppy disks.
As a countermeasure, copy the user program to the hard disk on a DOS/V machine, and then format a floppy in 720KB format.
Copy the user program to the floppy again, and then PC98 will be able to read it. - RELATED CATEGORIES
