Is it okay to wipe the sensor with ethanol?

ANSWER

Yes.

The front face of the lenses and the case are made of polycarbonite.
In general, this material is resistant to water, alcohol, oil, salt, and weak acids.
Alcohol: methanol, ethanol, etc.
Oils and fats: turbine oil, grease, etc.

Do not use the following chemicals:
Gasoline, thinner, ammonia, caustic soda, toluene
